Staging Area: opens 2:30pm W. State of Franklin Road at Tennessee St.
Parade Route:
W. State of Franklin Road at University Parkway (old Tennessee Street),travels to turn left on Buffalo Street, then right on E. Main Street traveling through the 200 & 300 blocks passing under I-26 toward Legion Street. At Legion Street turning right onto W. State of Franklin Road to end.
Pick up Area:
Parking lot at the corner of W. State of Franklin Road and Legion Street.

11:00am at the gazebo in Majestic Park at 243 E. Main Street downtown Johnson City will be a short press conference announcing details for the 2012 Downtown Johnson City Christmas Parade. On hand will be city Officials, Friends of Olde Downtowne, our Chamber of Commerce, and from the North Pole, Ms. Clause. Unfortunately, Santa Clause is unavailable due to a packed work schedule.
JOHNSON CITY CHRISTMAS PARADE - Saturday, December 8, 2012.
Friends of Olde Downtowne working in conjunction with the Johnson City/Jonesborough/Washington County Chamber of Commerce announces the 2012 Christmas Parade through downtown Johnson City is scheduled for Saturday, December 8th- 4:00 p.m. sharp.
The past several years the Christmas Parade has been a night time event, but after city official’s recommendation and strong support from our police department to improve traffic flow and parade experience for everyone involved, this year’s parade has been moved to Saturday afternoon with a new starting point and parade route, download the parade map for details. The Parade theme is simply “Christmas” and is estimated to last approximately 90 minutes.
Parade participants will include parade floats sponsored by local merchants and business groups, churches, area high school marching bands, civic organizations and of course Santa Clause.

Entry Application to participate in the parade now available (click here to access). You may also pick up an Application at The Chamber of Commerce (603 E. Market Street). Entry fees are $25 for Non-profit groups and $75 for Business/Corporate organizations. Application deadline is December 3, 2102.
