Johnson City Transit - JCT operates six buses with 31-passenger capacity over 11 fixed routes in the City. The Johnson City Transit System provides a specialized "XTRA" service for individuals with disabilities. JCT operations are centered around the Regional Transportation Center at 137 W. Market Street, which serves not only as a transfer point for JCT riders but also for Greyhound Bus Lines and local taxi companies. Also the site of The Johnson City Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization (MTPO), which serves as a support agency for five local governments in developing and administering a wide range of transportation program activities.
